gifts for tea lovers

Today I am thankful for heat. I know Jen did this one a while back, but I really am so thankful to have heat.  I can’t imagine living in this climate without a furnace and the ability to adjust the temperature in my home when I need/want to.  It especially means a lot after the first snow which always makes things seem colder than it really is!

You are all in luck! As I was making this blog gift idea set I was with my mother-in-law who is the tea connoisseur! She helped me come up with this set. So for today’s gifts, I like it, Jen likes it, Becky (my MIL) likes it, so your tea loving friend will FOR SURE like it. ;-)

Untitled #6

Krups BW600 Electric Kettle, Silver Art

$120 - macys.com
You know that Jen and I love tea kettles, but we could be pulled over to the side of electric tea kettles.  These things heat up water so fast it is crazy.  When you are in the mood for some tea it would be great to not have to wait so long for the water to boil since you’ll be waiting to let your tea steep!

Tea Tins (and loose tea)

$25 - teavana.com
Just as whole beans are the way to go for coffee lovers, tea lovers want loose leaf tea.  You can find great loose leaf tea at Teavana (or another tea house near you).  And while you are there, consider picking up a tea tin to keep the tea in!

HARRODS Art Deco Tea Strainer

20 - harrods.com
To be honest, I don’t know a ton about tea strainers, but this looks cool, is functional, and Becky says you’ll like it.  From what I can tell a strainer makes a little less strong tea.  It will catch the tea leaves as you pour the water!

Armed with Technology Tea Infuser

$15 - modcloth.com
This is just cute.  You put the tea in the robot and then let it steep….you get tea!!  FUN!

Honey jar image by katrubie on Photobucket

A fun honey jar would be a great gift for a tea enthusiast.  Jen and I like the ones with the little beehive dispenser!  Make sure to get a glass jar so if the honey becomes crystallized you will be able to put the jar in the microwave to soften it up again!
